Comprehensive Understanding of the Tourism Industry
Three Decades of Tourism Expertise
Leve Global’s deep industry knowledge is backed by extensive experience of over three decades in analyzing global tourism trends, market dynamics, and sustainability practices. We have advised ministries of tourism, tourism boards, international donor agencies and private-sector organizations on developing strategies that maximize economic benefits while protecting cultural and natural assets.

Pioneers in Responsible Tourism
We pioneered the concept of “Responsible Tourism” in 1996 as a policy positioning strategy for South Africa and have applied similar principles in several countries, including throughout the Caribbean. This forward-thinking approach has positioned us at the forefront of sustainable tourism development, long before it became a global industry standard.
Architects of National Tourism Strategies
We have led the development of major national and regional tourism policies and master plans, integrating ecotourism, cultural heritage tourism, and community-based tourism models. Our work with Discover Dominica Authority exemplifies this approach, where we developed a comprehensive National Climate Resilient Tourism Policy, Tourism Master Plan, and Corporate Strategy that incorporated sustainability measures and risk mitigation frameworks to ensure the tourism sector could withstand and recover from environmental, economic, and social shocks.
Quality Over Quantity Approach
In Dominica, we led a “Yield vs. Numbers” strategy to reposition the country toward high-value, low-impact tourism, focusing on quality, high-end clientele rather than mass tourism. Through comprehensive market segmentation analysis, we identified unique psychographic market opportunities aligned with eco-conscious, sustainable living travelers rather than direct competition with other Caribbean destinations.
Balancing the Triple Bottom Line
We possess an unmatched understanding of the interplay between environmental sustainability, economic viability, and social inclusivity—the three key pillars of successful ecotourism and community-based tourism initiatives. This understanding was applied in our work developing the Responsible Tourism Strategy for the South East Coast of Saint Lucia, where we urged the communities to “Dare to be DIFFERENT.” We advised them not to compete with the more developed West Coast of the island but to focus on their unique features, leading to the creation of the “Wild East Coast” positioning that highlighted the region’s pristine natural environment, wild Atlantic Sea, and strong village/community vibe.
Tailored Community Tourism Products
For each community in Saint Lucia’s South East Coast, we developed distinctive Axial Tourism Products:
Micoud – Eco-Adventure, focusing on opportunities in eco-tourism and adventure such as kayaking, hiking, sea moss tours, and chocolate making tours.
Vieux Fort – Eco-Education/Eco-Engineering, focusing on attracting researchers, university students, and environmentalists to study unique features like the indigenous whiptail lizard that carries the national colors of the island.
Labourie – Eco-Heritage, including historical tours, rum shop hopping, bicycle tours, annual village festivals, and the strong community spirit of the area.
