Sustainability is at the Heart of What We Do

We integrate environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability into everything we do

At Leve Global, sustainability isn’t merely a buzzword or an afterthought—it’s the foundation upon which we build every project, strategy, and initiative. Our commitment to sustainable development transcends conventional approaches, integrating environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability into a cohesive framework that delivers lasting impact for our clients and the communities they serve.

Our sustainability philosophy is rooted in the belief that true development must preserve and enhance natural resources while empowering local communities and fostering economic resilience. This holistic approach has guided our work across the Caribbean and beyond, establishing Leve Global as a pioneer in sustainable tourism development and responsible business practices.

Pioneering Responsible Tourism: The South Africa Policy Framework

Our work on the Responsible Tourism Policy in South Africa represents another landmark in our sustainability journey. Working with national and provincial authorities, we helped develop a policy framework that has become a global benchmark for responsible tourism development.

The South Africa Responsible Tourism Policy established principles and practices that balance tourism growth with environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and community empowerment. Our approach emphasized inclusive stakeholder engagement, ensuring that local communities became active participants and beneficiaries in tourism development rather than passive observers.

Through this groundbreaking work, we helped South Africa position itself as a leader in responsible tourism, demonstrating how sustainability principles can enhance destination competitiveness while preserving natural and cultural assets for future generations. The policy’s success has influenced responsible tourism initiatives worldwide, showcasing Leve Global’s thought leadership in sustainable development.

Transforming Challenges into Opportunities: The Montserrat Sustainable Tourism Project

The Montserrat Sustainable Tourism Project exemplifies our innovative approach to sustainability. Following the devastating volcanic eruptions that transformed the island’s landscape, we developed a National Sustainable Tourism Strategy built around the powerful concept of “Turning Ash to Cash.” Rather than viewing the volcano as merely a disaster, we recognized its potential as a unique tourism asset and catalyst for sustainable economic revival.

Our comprehensive strategy identified 103 strategic initiatives valued at US$12.6 million, centered on volcano tourism and the development of the Caribbean’s only “buried city” as a heritage attraction. Through extensive stakeholder engagement—including innovative live-streaming consultations that connected with over 800 members of the Montserratian diaspora—we ensured that sustainability principles were embedded in every aspect of the tourism development plan.

The Montserrat project demonstrates how sustainability can transform environmental challenges into economic opportunities while preserving cultural heritage and fostering community resilience. By integrating environmental management, socio-economic development, and innovative marketing approaches, we created a sustainable tourism model that continues to drive Montserrat’s recovery and growth.

Climate Resilience in Action: Dominica’s Tourism Transformation

In Dominica, our development of the National Climate Resilient Tourism Policy and Tourism Master Plan showcases our commitment to building sustainability and resilience in vulnerable island destinations. Following the devastating impacts of Hurricane Maria, we worked with the Discover Dominica Authority to create a tourism framework that not only addresses climate vulnerabilities but transforms them into strategic advantages.

Our approach integrated comprehensive risk assessments, sustainability measures, and climate adaptation strategies to ensure Dominica’s tourism sector could withstand and recover from environmental shocks. The policy and master plan incorporated a “Yield vs. Numbers” strategy, repositioning Dominica toward high-value, low-impact tourism that aligns with the island’s natural carrying capacity and conservation priorities.

Through market segmentation analysis, we identified unique psychographic opportunities aligned with eco-conscious, sustainable living travelers, creating a distinctive positioning that avoids direct competition with mass tourism destinations. This strategy has reinforced Dominica’s “Nature Island” brand while ensuring that tourism development respects and enhances the island’s remarkable biodiversity and natural resources.

A Commitment to Sustainable Futures

Sustainability is not just what we do—it’s who we are. At Leve Global, our commitment to sustainable development shapes every aspect of our work, from initial concept development to implementation and evaluation. We believe that tourism and economic development must contribute to environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and community well-being to be truly successful.

Our track record across the Caribbean, Africa, Southeast Asia and beyond demonstrates that sustainability is not only ethically imperative but also commercially advantageous. By placing sustainability at the heart of what we do, we help our clients create distinctive, authentic, and resilient tourism products and experiences that stand the test of time while contributing to a more sustainable future for all.
