Over 25 years’ experience in natural resources management, environmental planning and development including marine parks, forest and watershed research, planning and management.

She is also the former Director of Tourism for Dominica for a number of years and as such, has a very intimate knowledge of tourism planning and destination management.

Over 20 years of work experience in designing, managing, administering, evaluating and auditing nationally and internationally funded programmes and projects in the OECS region.

Skilled in the Development of climate change adaptation plans for coastal communities, the tourism sector and national parks in Dominica.

She has 20 years consulting in environmental impact assessments for the public and private sectors, preparation of management and financial plans for national parks and ecotourism sites, environmental auditing of small hotels, and areas of attraction, and development of strategic action plans for capacity building for biodiversity at the national level and regional as well as the development of sustainable tourism and environmental policies at a national and regional level.

Experience in regional project development, management, coordination and administration, networking and the preparation of service contracts for short term technical assistance

Keen understanding of the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of sustainability as well as the physical trends and drivers related to sustainable development

Experience working with government agencies, private corporations and non-government organizations throughout the Caribbean region particularly in various small island developing states including Dominica, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Anguilla, Antigua, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Nevis and Grenada, Barbados.

Experience in managing projects funded by international agencies including the World Bank, Organization of American States, OAS, Food and Agriculture Organization, FAO, United Nation Development Agency, UNDP, CCCCC (5Cs), Caribbean Development Bank, CDB, Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, OECS, United States Agency for International Aid, USAID, European Union, DFID, CIDA/CPEC and Green Globe.
